TRU presents: They Ride By Night

It’s dark. It’s stormy. November’s elections did not go as we hoped, and the pandemic lingers on. We’re leaning into the gloom with a gritty-yet-fun (we promise it will be fun!) noir-themed end-of-year online fundraiser on Wednesday, December 8, 5:30-6:30pm. Join TRU members and our co-hosts Girmay Zahilay, Brady Walkinshaw, Tammy Morales, Mike O’Brien and John Burbank to power the Transit Riders Union into 2022!

From TRU Radio Pictures comes a thrilling ride through the seamy streets of Sea-town, the city that seldom sleeps and never dries out between October and May! Join a strap-hanging cast of diamond-studded dames and heartless heartthrobs as they race through the downtown transit tunnel in search of pulse-pounding thrills… and ill-gotten gains! If this town’s crooked cops, conniving corporations and pandering politicians have you down, we invite you to catch the last train of the night with TRU…

Maybe you feel disappointed. Maybe you feel world-weary. But we’re not giving up, and neither should you. TRU is on the case! We have big plans for 2022 and we need you to play a starring role. What are they? Wouldn’t you like to know. There’s only one way to get to the bottom of that mystery: Join us on Dec. 8 at They Ride By Night.

Tired of the solitary life of the private eye? Invite some friends over! Costumes are encouraged and you’ll have a chance to show off your style. There’s even a coloring contest. After all, not all noirs are black and white.

So put on that fedora, pour yourself a stiff drink and join us for a taut, suspenseful hour of entertainment, enlightenment and the collection of cold, hard cash. Register and/or donate below:
